TRASH SERVICES
Trash service is included with municipal utilities. This service is provided by Republic Services. Their phone number is 660-429-1040.
Extra Trash Bins can be purchased for $52.00 per year, by calling Republic Services at 660-429-1040.
Trash will be picked up once a week, and all trash has to fit in the provided trash bin.
Please have your trash at the curb by 6 AM on your pick-up day.
2024 Republic Holiday Schedule
The residential trash routes will be changing as of Monday, March 18th, 2024.

ON-CALL BULK ITEM PROGRAM
Each residence is allowed 1 FREE bulk item pickup per year & can have up to 5 items on that pickup. This will be an ON-CALL service, so residents have the freedom to schedule it when they want to. To schedule please call Republic Services: (660) 429-1040.
Give the home address, what items will be out, and the date wanted to do the pickup. PLEASE give at least a 2-business day notice.
Items must be curbside by 7:00 AM the day of pickup. *5-ITEM LIMIT*
Large Appliances are no longer accepted (with or without Freon removed), this includes, refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, and freezers.

YARD-WASTE PROGRAM
Yard Waste disposal is available for all Odessa residents to utilize free of charge. The roll-off dumpster is located at 401 N 1st Street, directly behind NERD's Hardware and South of the City of Odessa Streets facility.
Yard waste includes:
- Grass Clippings
- Dead Plants (without their pots)
- Sticks/Branches
- Leaves
- Walnuts - Apples
- Biodegradable Paper Yard Waste Bags
- Christmas Trees (6ft. or less, if large cut in half without ornaments)
Yard waste does not include:
- Rocks or Bricks
- Plastic Pots
- Plastic Barriers or Fencing
- Mulch/Fertilizer Bags
- Furniture
- Animal Waste
- Any Large Items
- Commercial yard waste

Large yard-waste debris can be disposed of at:

No commercial yard-waste is allowed.

RECYLING PROGRAM
A recycling container is available for all Odessa residents and is included in the monthly solid waster rate paid with municipal utilities. The container is located on North 1st Street, directly behind NERD's Hardware and South of the City of Odessa Streets facility. RIPPLE GLASS
Did you know that Ripple Glass gathers over 700 tons of glass every single week from residents and businesses in the KC area, and the surrounding region, and then processes it into usable materials for remanufacturing as new glass bottles, insulation, countertops, and more
A purple recycling bin for glass food and beverage containers is located on 1st Street behind NERD'S Hardware for the residents of Odessa to recycle their glass.

Community Clean Up Day (3rd Saturday of March)
Each year on the 3rd Saturday in March, the City of Odessa provides multiple dumpsters for resident use to dispose of large bulk items they may have. Items allowed for drop off are the same as those listed above under 'Bulk Items.' The dumpsters are annually located at Dyer Park near the Rodeo Arena and City staff are available from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM to help residents unload heavy items from their vehicles.
