To rent the Odessa Community Building at Dyer Park (601 W Main) you must submit an application to City Hall along with a $100 deposit to verify availability and reserve your specific day/time. The minimum rental time is four (4) hours for $100 with a cost of $25 for each additional hour.

You are not permitted to enter the building before your scheduled start time, and you must ensure that the premises are cleaned up and vacated by your designated end time. The rental fee will need to be paid, and you should pick up the key at City Hall during the week of your event, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Please note that City Hall may be closed on holidays.

Non-profit and local community groups that contribute to the betterment of the community have access to a discounted rental option for the community building. Non-profits can rent the space by paying a deposit of $100, and the rental fee of $100 will be waived. However, after a non-profit organization has used this discount four times within a calendar year, they will need Board of Aldermen approval to continue receiving the discount. This arrangement allows non-profits to hold their regular meetings at a minimal cost of $10, with the required deposit of $100 to cover any potential incidentals.

There will be a cleaning checklist on your application to complete once your event has ended, and prior to your reserved end time.

Once the building has been inspected and found to be in good condition, and the key has been returned, your $100 deposit will be refunded by check.
