Municipal Court
Responsibilities
The Municipal Court is the judicial branch of the city government. The Odessa Municipal Court handles Traffic and City Ordinance violations written by the Odessa Police Department, Animal Control, and Code Enforcement Departments.
Procedures
Odessa Municipal Court is held once a month at 1:30 pm at the Community Building located at Dyer Park, 601 W Main Street in Odessa, MO. The City Prosecutor is available one hour before each session to discuss plea negotiations with defense attorneys. The attorney docket will be completed first followed by the regular docket with the order being determined by arrival. To confirm your pending court date or for other questions, you may contact the Municipal Court Clerk at 816-230-5577, ext. 1.
Continuance/Availability
This Division shall be always open for electronic entries of appearance and motions. Notwithstanding, entries of appearances and motions for continuances shall be submitted for any particular court session no later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled court date by email to the Municipal Court Clerk. The Court Clerk is only available by phone or in person Monday - Friday mornings.
Payment Methods
Cash, Checks, Money Orders, or Credit Card are accepted methods of payment. Check and Money Orders should be made to the City of Odessa. Some payments can be made online at Case.Net.
Case.net is your access to the Missouri State Court's automated case management system. From their website, you are able to inquire about case records including docket entries, parties, judgments, and charges.
Court Schedule
Court is currently held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 1:30 PM. After May of 2024, court will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of the Monday at 9:30 AM.

Directions
From the West / Kansas City
Exit I-70 at Exit 37B. Take the south outer road (40 Hwy) to 4th Street (by Pizza Hut). Turn right and proceed southbound for five blocks to the 4-way stop at Main Street. Turn right and proceed westbound for two blocks to Dyer Park (on the right side of the street).
From the East / Columbia
Exit I-70 at Exit 38. Take the south outer road (40 Hwy) westbound to 4th Street (by Pizza Hut). Turn left and proceed southbound for five blocks to the 4-way stop at Main Street. Turn right and proceed westbound for two blocks to Dyer Park (on the right side of the street).
